Ruin: It's Not Just Music LP

Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith spent her career on patient, intricately programmed Buchla records like Ears, The Kid, and the Suzanne Ciani collaboration Sunergy. Ruin: It's Not Just Music breaks from that pattern hard, turning toward breakbeat and drum-and-bass rhythm on the first release from her new label, Someone Special, co-run with producer James Daniel. Smith calls it deliberately confrontational, built for impact instead of comfort.
