Unleashed in the East LP

Judas Priest cut their first live album over two nights in Tokyo during the February 1979 Hell Bent for Leather tour, with longtime producer Tom Allom running the mix. It outsold everything the band had done before and went platinum in the US, though it picked up the nickname "Unleashed in the Studio" once word got out that Rob Halford's vocals were re-recorded afterward to patch technical problems in the live tapes. It's also drummer Les Binks's last appearance with the band.
