Cathedral is John Carpenter's new synth-and-metal record, released alongside a graphic novel he built from a 2024 dream about a murder inside an abandoned Los Angeles cathedral. Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies return as his main collaborators, and tracks like Primeval and Lord of the Underground are written to match specific scenes in the book. Sacred Bones puts out this two-record edition August 7, 2026 on purple vinyl.
