Homeless N**** Pop Music LP

Jim Legxacy, born James Olaloye in Lewisham, built this self-released 2023 mixtape out of emo guitar lines, Afrobeat drums, and grab-bag sampling, a London mix that snapped its own wires together instead of smoothing them out. He later signed to XL Recordings, co-wrote and co-produced Dave and Central Cee's chart-topping "Sprinter," and picked up a runner-up nod for BBC Radio 1's Sound of the Year. Songs like "candy reign (!)" and "eye tell (!)" run the same emo-meets-Afrobeats current that carried straight through to his later work.
