The Marvel Super Heroes Have Arrived 7"

Jack Urbont wrote the theme songs for 1966's The Marvel Super Heroes cartoon, covering the Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, and Sub-Mariner segments, in about a week on spec after meeting Stan Lee, who later admitted he wished he'd come up with them himself. Urbont built a long career past comics, scoring General Hospital's soap theme, writing Off-Broadway musicals, picking up Emmy nominations, and later suing Ghostface Killah over the Iron Man theme's use on Supreme Clientele. This 7-inch pairs "The Marvel Super Heroes Have Arrived" with "Merry Marvel Marching Society," both in 2024 stereo remasters.
