1978 LP

Picture a Kabuki actor who wandered into a free-jazz rehearsal with a theremin under his arm, that's roughly what Koichi Makigami was doing fronting Hikashu back when the band was still called Pre Hikashu on some of these same recordings. Guitarist Mita Freeman held the lineup together through that first run of records, years before Makigami's group became a fixture of Japan's underground art-rock circuit. This LP catches all of it still half-formed, voice, bass, cornet, and theremin figuring out how to share a room.
