Calculated LP

Back in 1994, Corin Tucker and Tracy Sawyer made Calculated for Kill Rock Stars as Heavens to Betsy, both of them credited on multiple instruments, Tucker on vocals, guitar, and drums, Sawyer on bass, drums, guitar, and sound effects, with John Goodmanson running the board. Same Olympia scene that gave us Bikini Kill and Bratmobile, and it's the only album this duo made before Tucker went on to co-found Sleater-Kinney. Christgau handed it an A-minus, and the trick is how the two voices argue with each other like siblings splitting one microphone.
