(self-titled) LP

John Dwyer, the prolific noise-garage lifer behind Thee Oh Sees and Coachwhips, put together Heathen Axe with Tom Dolas and John Hodge. Dwyer wrote the riffs in about a week, and the trio cut each song in one take on the same Vestax four-track he used for old Coachwhips and OCS tapes, landing near heavy psych touchstones like Mainliner, High Rise, and Comets on Fire.
