The Recent Past LP

Hayden has run his own label, Hardwood Records, since Geffen's Outpost Recordings folded not long after signing him off his 1995 debut Everything I Long For. The Recent Past comes through that same independent operation. Thirty years in, his catalog, from The Closer I Get to the Juno-nominated Are We Good, still runs on plain, understated, biographical songwriting. No gimmicks, just a guy who kept his own label running.
