Yours Sincerely LP

Here's a guy who cofounded Yellow Magic Orchestra, spent decades hopping genres, and at 78 decided his 23rd album should teach English speakers two Japanese words: omoiyari, compassion, and boseiai, maternal love. Yours Sincerely, his first record in seven years and his debut for Ghostly International, works those ideas into folk and avant-pop arrangements the way a good translator works a sentence, careful not to lose the shape of the original. Female vocalists carry a lot of the weight, "Note of Mothership" especially.
