Harumi - Harumi (Self-Titled) 2LP

Almost nothing is known about Harumi, a Japanese musician who recorded this psychedelic pop record in New York across 1967 and 1968, then walked out of the music industry for good. Tom Wilson, fresh off work with Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, and the Velvet Underground, produced it for Verve's Forecast imprint. It was originally a double LP with a gatefold sleeve. Harumi is said to have made one more album, Japan only, that's now largely lost.
