Demon Days ditched the cartoon-band goofiness for something grimmer once Danger Mouse got behind the boards, and its biggest reward was a Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals. Feel Good Inc., with De La Soul, only reached number fourteen on the Hot 100, yet the album itself climbed to number six on the Billboard 200 and the top of the UK chart, on its way to roughly eight million copies sold. Neneh Cherry, MF Doom, and Shaun Ryder turn up elsewhere, none of them lightening the mood.
