Borrowed LP

Prince, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, INXS: that's the songwriting the Goo Goo Dolls borrow wholesale on Borrowed, a covers album built entirely from the artists who shaped them. Warner Records drops it as a Record Store Day Black Friday exclusive right alongside anniversary reissues of Dizzy Up the Girl and Let Love In, so the Buffalo trio's whole catalog gets a moment at once. It's rare to hear them work entirely in someone else's words.
