Rock Your Baby LP

Rock Your Baby happened by accident, and that's the whole point: Harry Wayne Casey and Richard Finch cut the backing track as a throwaway demo, and George McCrae only sang on it because he happened to be in the room that day. It still topped both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart, and it's cited as one of the earliest landmarks of disco, among the first pop hits built entirely around a drum machine. Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus have both named it a direct inspiration for ABBA's "Dancing Queen."
