Chip Fu, Poc Fu, and Moc Fu never sounded more locked in than on Nervous Breakdown, which turned out to be Fu-Schnickens' last album for Jive Records. Diamond D, K-Cut, Lyvio G., Rod 'KP' Kirkpatrick, and Jim Nice handled production, boom-bap built for trading rapid-fire verses, and Shaquille O'Neal turns up for a guest verse, a novelty either way you take it. Robert Christgau singled out the vocal interplay, and on 180-gram vinyl, "What's Up Doc? (Can We Rock)," "Breakdown," and "Sum Dum Munkey" still land with the same rapid clip.
