Mammoth LP

Flora Hibberd built a reputation on quiet, Americana-leaning songwriting, so Mammoth, her second full-length after 2025's Swirl and the earlier Archipelago EP, counts as a sharp left turn. Producer Ben Lanz, known for his work with The National and Beirut, nudges her toward brighter synth-pop and electronic textures, and Sufjan Stevens turns up for a hushed guest vocal on "Perfect Ripple." The contradiction is the point: a folk singer letting someone else's gear take over the room.
