Step Into Christmas 10"

Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote Step into Christmas and cut it in one session at Morgan Studios in London, with producer Gus Dudgeon stacking it up deliberately in the mold of Phil Spector's Wall of Sound Christmas records, the kind the Ronettes used to cut. It topped Billboard's Christmas Singles chart in the US and somehow took until 2018 to crack the UK top ten for the first time, decades after it first started showing up on winter radio. It's gone platinum in the US and multiple times platinum in the UK since.
