J Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph formed Dinosaur Jr in Amherst in 1984, broke apart in 1997, and got back together in 2005 like a fight that never actually finished. There Near is their thirteenth album, eleven new tracks including "No Friends" and "Walk Me Back," out August 28, 2026 on Jagjaguwar behind the single "Several Got Away," following 2021's Sweep It Into Space.
