I Bet on Sky LP

By the time I Bet on Sky rolled around, Dinosaur Jr. getting back together wasn't news anymore, it was just the format: tenth album overall, third since J Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph reunited as the original trio back in 2005. Released on Jagjaguwar, it rides on Mascis's fuzzed-out guitar over Barlow's bass and Murph's drums, like a band picking up an argument exactly where it left off decades earlier. "Watch the Corners" and "Pierce the Morning Rain" keep the same mix of melody and guitar noise that defined the group from the start.
