Christmas Time Is Here LP

Christmas Time Is Here is Dianne Reeves's holiday album, self-produced with Peter Martin for Blue Note, and it treats the season the way she treats everything: smooth, unhurried, vocal jazz arrangements of standards like 'Little Drummer Boy' and the title track. It landed in the upper half of Billboard's Top Jazz Albums chart, and All About Jazz called it 'an above-average and sometimes spectacular album,' which tracks for a singer who's built a whole career on warm, technically assured vocal jazz.
