Robbers & Cowards LP

Cold War Kids built their debut, Robbers & Cowards, on blunt, blues-soaked indie rock, Nathan Willett pounding piano and vocals over Jonathan Russell's guitar, Matt Maust's bass, and Matt Aveiro's drums, with Kevin Augunas producing and Dave Sardy mixing for Downtown Records. The record landed on Rolling Stone's year-end best-albums list and threw off singles like "We Used to Vacation" and "Hang Me Up to Dry." This expanded anniversary edition cracks open four songs left unfinished from those same writing sessions and bolts on live tracks pulled from the band's 2007 tour.
