Noah's Ark LP

Noah's Ark is an early CocoRosie album, sisters Sierra "Rosie" Casady and Bianca "Coco" Casady running harps, toy instruments and found sound through a guest list that reads like a mid-2000s freak-folk roll call: Anohni on piano for "Beautiful Boyz," Devendra Banhart singing "Brazilian Sun" in over a phone line, the connection crackling under the song like static caught mid-transmission. Parts came together on their mother's farm in France's Camargue region, parts in a Brooklyn studio, a record pieced from field recordings as much as songwriting. It came out on Touch and Go Records.
