Bones... (this is an import we should only get when the domestic runs out)

The Bones of What You Believe is Chvrches' debut, built over roughly two years inside the band's own Glasgow studio, Alucard. It went gold in the UK, climbing to number nine on the albums chart, and reached number twelve on the Billboard 200 in the US on the strength of "The Mother We Share," a top-ten single in Belgium and Japan. Mayberry's songwriting gets the credit; Cook and Doherty's layered synths and vocal loops do the rest of the work.
