Buddha and the Chocolate Box LP

Eighth album for Cat Stevens, released March 1974 and platinum in the US after peaking at number 2, with Paul Samwell-Smith producing and the same core band of Alun Davies on guitar and Jean Roussel on keys. 'Oh Very Young' became one of the set's lasting singles. The title itself is the record's thesis: Stevens flying with a Buddha statue in one hand and a box of chocolates in the other, spiritual pull against material comfort.
