Carissa's Wierd started in Tucson and settled in Seattle, playing slowcore so hushed it felt like holding a breath, before splitting in 2003. Fronted by Mat Brooke and Jenn Champion, the band put out You Should Be at Home Here with Ben Bridwell on drums; Bridwell and Brooke later formed Band of Horses, Brooke went on to start Grand Archives, and Champion built a solo career performing as S. This 25th anniversary edition from Nettwerk returns the album to vinyl on bone colored wax across two LPs, with three extra tracks added.
