Brian Setzer went from reviving rockabilly with the Stray Cats in the 1980s to running his own 19-piece big band, and Christmas Comes Alive is where that band's holiday act gets its live due: fifteen songs recorded during a stop in Knoxville, Tennessee. The set pulls from Setzer's run of studio Christmas albums for staples like "Jingle Bell Rock" and "Sleigh Ride," then throws in a "Stray Cat Strut"/"Mr. Grinch" mashup that only this bandleader would attempt. This Record Store Day Black Friday exclusive presses it as a picture disc.
