Boots Riley went from fronting The Coup to directing movies with Sorry to Bother You in 2018, and now he's written and directed I Love Boosters too, which is a lot of hats for one guy who apparently can't sit still. Tune-Yards' Merrill Garbus and Nate Brenner built the instrumental score, with Keke Palmer, who stars opposite LaKeith Stanfield, putting her own songs for the film out separately. Riley's political satire and offbeat style carry straight through to the soundtrack.
