Knocked Out Loaded LP

Knocked Out Loaded exists for one song: "Brownsville Girl," an 11-minute Sam Shepard co-write that even Dylan skeptics rank among his better late-period moments. Everything else stalled at No. 53 on the Billboard 200 and got called depressing by Rolling Stone's Anthony DeCurtis, a verdict that's held up. One good song is still the only reason this one leaves the shelf.
