Highway 61 is the Crown Jewel of Bob's mid-Sixties trifecta of Bringing It All Back Home (3/27/1965); Highway 61 Revisited ((8/30/1965); and Blonde On Blonde ((6/20/1966). With these three albums, Dylan had, in the span of 15 months released three of the most important albums of the modern rock era.

After Highway 61 Revisited, RnR realized it had to grow up: puppy love and muscle cars were shoved into the closet with the highschool yearbook and the letter sweater.
