Blockhead's fifth solo record for Ninja Tune follows The Music Scene with twelve tracks built from thick, layered sampling, a Baby Dayliner vocal turn, and guitar and bass from Damien Paris. HipHopDX gave it four out of five, and Exclaim! called it a bleary descent into the darker hours of night, which tracks for a producer who's spent his career making beats meant for headphones after everyone else has gone to bed. The joke, such as it is, never quite lands before 2am.
