(self-titled) LP

Jasmine van den Bogaerde won the Open Mic UK contest at twelve and had a debut single out by fourteen, performing simply as Birdy. Her self-titled 2011 debut was built mostly from covers plus a single original song, a hushed reading of Bon Iver's "Skinny Love" carrying it to No. 13 in the UK and to No. 1 in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Australia. Her version of Cherry Ghost's "People Help the People" rounded out a record that let a very young voice do most of the work.
