Fire Within LP

Fire Within is Birdy's second record, built mostly from her own songwriting after a debut that leaned on covers, with "Wings" carrying the album as lead single. It rolled out across the UK and Europe before reaching North America, and reviewers mostly liked the trade: bigger, more orchestral arrangements wrapped around the same piano-based balladry. Atlantic Records kept backing her through this stretch, and the bet paid off in better songs, not just a bigger sound.
