In Concert - Live at the BBC, 1974 CD

Bill Withers wrote plain-spoken soul out of years on day jobs before "Ain't No Sunshine," "Lean on Me," and "Use Me" ever existed, and that same unhurried voice carries this BBC concert. A full band backs him here, but the performance keeps the bare, acoustic grain of his early shows, recorded not long after his celebrated Carnegie Hall date, like a signal that never needed amplifying to come through clear. It's a Record Store Day Black Friday exclusive on Sony Legacy, issued here on CD.
