Daybreaker LP

Beth Orton pulled back from the folktronica and trip-hop of her earlier records on Daybreaker, writing straighter, earthier songs instead, co-produced with Victor Van Vugt and additional work from Ben Watt. Guitarist Ted Barnes, bassist Ali Friend, and guest turns from Johnny Marr and Ryan Adams fill out the sessions. It hit number eight on the UK Albums Chart and went Silver. Mojo called it her best record yet. Parlophone handles this reissue.
