Ride Lonesome is Beck's first album of all-new material since 2019's Hyperspace. He produced it himself and brought in Nigel Godrich to mix, their first time working together since Sea Change and Mutations, decades back. For the sessions, recorded at United Studios in Hollywood, Beck reunited the band that backed him on Sea Change, Mutations, and Morning Phase: Smokey Hormel, Joey Waronker, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Roger Joseph Manning Jr., and Jason Falkner. This edition is cut as a one-step audiophile pressing, mastered from 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution files.
