Somebody pulled out a phone at Mi Tierra in San Antonio in 2017 and caught Beatriz Gonzalez singing "Los Laureles," and that clip is still doing work for her. The Rio Grande Valley singer turned that moment into the La Tequilera series on Silent Giant Entertainment, running mariachi standards next to her own songs built for the same dance floor. She keeps the instrumentation traditional and the business independent, part of a newer wave of regional Mexican artists who never needed a major label's blessing.
