Quickness CASSETTE

Quickness was Bad Brains' fourth album and, at the time, their best seller, produced by Ron St. Germain for Caroline Records. H.R., Dr. Know, and Darryl Jenifer are here, but the drums are Cro-Mags man Mackie Jayson, not Earl Hudson, who's pictured on the cover. It trades the earlier reggae-inflected sound for a harder funk, metal, and punk crossover, and it's often named among the first groove metal records, ahead of Prong's Beg to Differ and Pantera's Cowboys from Hell.
