Are You Ready: The First Studio Recording (Inner Ear - March 1979) LP

This gathers Bad Brains' earliest known studio session, a single hour cut at Inner Ear Studios in Washington, D.C., in March 1979 and newly mixed by Ian MacKaye for its first official release. It holds an early take of "Pay to Cum," recorded more than a year before that song became the band's debut seven-inch, alongside "Black Dots" and "Migraine." These tapes spent decades circulating only among hardcore tape traders, so this is the first time most people get to hear the session the band actually intended.
