Meso-Americans Live 1982 2LP

The Mesopotamia EP came together in 1982 under producer David Byrne of Talking Heads, and singer Kate Pierson later admitted the whole thing felt rushed because the label kept pushing the B-52's to wrap it up. This live set catches the band that same year, working out the same quirky, dance-party new wave on a stage instead of a rushed studio, which might be the better way to hear it. It's an exclusive Record Store Day Black Friday pressing on Rhino, the label responsible for most of the band's catalog reissues.
