Honkey Kong 2LP

Honkey Kong is Apathy's third solo record, and he treated it like an open-door party: Vinnie Paz, Action Bronson, Xzibit, Ill Bill, Celph Titled, and a parade of underground rap names show up, with DJ Premier, DJ Muggs, and Statik Selektah handling the boards like a tag-team crew. Critics ate it up, Metacritic logged it in the "universal acclaim" range, and it pushed into the Top 10 of the Heatseekers Albums chart. This limited Record Store Day Black Friday run brings his dense, East Coast-rooted boom-bap back to wax.
