It was 1994, when Alanis Morissette came to the U.S. and began working with producer Glen Ballard, that she found her own voice as a singer-songwriter. “I was 19 when I first felt that writing was a channeled experience. Nominated for six Grammy Awards including Best New Artist and Song of the Year (“You Oughta Know”), Jagged Little Pill won four trophies for Album of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song and Best Female Rock Vocal Performance (“You Oughta Know”).
