Men Amongst Mountains 2LP

Eight people crammed into one New Orleans band shouldn't groove this tight, but The Revivalists, fronted by David Shaw and guitarist Zack Feinberg, make alt-rock, funk, soul, and jam-band sprawl sound like one instrument. Men Amongst Mountains, their third record, came out on Wind-up with Galactic's Ben Ellman producing, climbed to number 18 on the Billboard Alternative Albums chart, and eventually went gold. Its single "Wish I Knew You" turned into the kind of crossover hit that tops the Adult Alternative and Alternative Songs charts at once and walks away triple-platinum.
