Soundtrack (Eminem) CD

This CD pulls together the soundtrack built around Eminem's film 8 Mile, with "Lose Yourself" doing the heavy lifting: the first rap song to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song, beating out Paul Simon and U2 along the way. It also picked up Grammys for Best Rap Song and Best Male Rap Solo Performance and held the Hot 100's number one spot for twelve weeks, longer than any other Oscar winning song has managed. The rest of the disc fills in Shady Records' Detroit battle rap world around it.
