About Worm
Worm are an American metal band from Florida that emerged in the 2010s underground metal scene. The band built a following through a series of increasingly accomplished releases, evolving from murky doom-death into a more ambitious, atmospheric, and melodic blackened style. Their album Foreverglade, released by the respected underground label 20 Buck Spin, raised their profile considerably.
Sound and style
Worm fuse death metal, doom metal, and black metal into a dark, swampy, atmospheric sound, combining crushing heaviness with melodic and sometimes neoclassical guitar leads. Their evolution toward a more textured, blackened death-doom approach has been a notable feature of their development within the contemporary underground metal scene.
