About Viagra Boys
Viagra Boys formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 2015. Fronted by the tattooed, charismatic Sebastian Murphy, the band emerged from the Stockholm punk scene and built an international reputation through provocative, darkly comic music and energetic live shows. They have become one of the most prominent acts in the contemporary post-punk revival.
Sound and style
Viagra Boys play post-punk, garage punk, and art punk infused with saxophone, electronic textures, and propulsive, groove-driven rhythms. Murphy's deadpan, sneering vocals deliver satirical lyrics targeting toxic masculinity, conspiracy culture, and modern absurdity. Their blend of menace and humor has defined their distinctive identity.
