About Turnstile
Turnstile formed in Baltimore, Maryland in 2010. The lineup is Brendan Yates (vocals), Brady Ebert (guitar), Pat McCrory (guitar), Franz Lyons (bass), and Daniel Fang (drums). Emerging from the hardcore scene, the band steadily expanded its sound and audience, culminating in a major crossover with the album Glow On, which brought hardcore to a wider mainstream and critical audience and earned multiple Grammy nominations.
Sound and style
Turnstile play a genre-blurring style rooted in hardcore punk but incorporating alternative rock, funk, soul, dream pop, and electronic textures. Their energetic, melodic, and experimental approach, combined with dynamic live performances, has made them one of the most celebrated and influential heavy bands of the early 2020s.
