Superheaven formed in Doylestown, Pennsylvania in 2008 originally as Daylight. They were renamed Superheaven in 2013 following a trademark dispute with a Pittsburgh hardcore band. They have been associated with the contemporary 1990s alternative rock and grunge revival scenes alongside contemporaries like Title Fight, Citizen, Basement, and others on the Run for Cover Records roster. Their 2013 LP Jar and 2015 follow-up Ours Is Chrome established their reputation. The band went on hiatus from 2015 to 2024 before reforming with the 2025 self-titled LP.
