Sextile formed in Los Angeles in 2015 around Brady Keehn, Melissa Scaduto, and Eddie Wuebben. They have been associated with the contemporary post-punk, dark wave, and electronic rock revival scenes alongside contemporaries like Drab Majesty, Cold Cave, and Boy Harsher. Eddie Wuebben died in 2020. The remaining members (Keehn and Scaduto) have continued releasing material, with their 2023 album Push receiving critical attention.
