About Reneé Rapp

Reneé Mary Jane Rapp was born in Huntersville, North Carolina on January 10, 2000. She won the 2018 Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress for her high school musical theater work. She launched her Broadway career as Regina George in the original Broadway production of Mean Girls (the musical, 2019-2020, until the COVID-19 pandemic closed the production). She subsequently transitioned to television and film acting work - notably the HBO Max series The Sex Lives of College Girls (2021-2023, as Leighton) and the 2024 Mean Girls film adaptation (reprising her Regina George role). She came out as bisexual and subsequently as a lesbian in public statements. She launched her recording career with the EP Everything to Everyone (2022) and the 2023 LP Snow Angel - commercial breakthrough.
