About Quantic

Will Holland, performing as Quantic and under multiple related project names, was born in Worcestershire, England in 1980. He launched his recording career in the early 2000s with Tru Thoughts Records releases. He has been based in Cali, Colombia 2007-2014, with integration of Colombian and broader Latin American musical traditions into his subsequent work. He has been based in Brooklyn, New York since the mid-2010s. He has parallel work under multiple project names - Quantic Soul Orchestra (12-piece deep funk ensemble), Quantic & His Combo Bárbaro (Colombian musicians ensemble), the Limp Twins (with Russ Porter), the Western Transient, and others. His extensive collaborative work with Colombian, Cuban, and broader Latin American musicians and singers (work with Alice Russell, Nidia Gongora, Bombino, and others) has been. He has continued releasing material across multiple decades.
